Ibanez RG1570LMR

If your playing preferences lean toward the metallic, then you owe it to yourself to play a guitar that thinks likewise. The Ibanez RG1570LMR is built from the ground up to give you massive tone and maximum velocity. Its deep body cutaways allow access to all the frets on the Ibanez RG1570LMR's super-fast neck, while an Edge Pro tremolo bridge keeps tuning stable amidst even the most extreme runs. You get three high-output pickups, volume and tone controls, and a very balanced design that puts playing comfort at a premium with the RG1570LMR from Ibanez.

I'd give it a go, even though I think every tremolo ibanez has released since the original edge has been inferior to that design. Also, the V7/V8 pickups I last played (like in the 80's or early 90's) were not very good sounding. I'd prefer it if it had PAF pros and an edge. Still, I'd get it for a mod platform.

Metal Mayhem, eh?

Needs sharkfin inlays to really be ready for metal mayhem.

And skulls. Let's not forget about skulls.

the wizard necks are way too skinny for me, I don't have big hand but they're sort of like the rest of me (tall and slim) they feel minute in my hand, don't like

This is a metal mayhem superstrat. Nothing ordinary about it.
Other type of music? What, like monks chanting or something? There is only METAL!!!!!!!!

seriously though, this is the current update of my RG that i bought in '93. the only real difference is the huge walnut stripe down the back of the neck and the Edge Zero. i wouldn't exactly call the pickup combo high gain, but it does play well with distortion. dunno if it's worth $999, but it's definitely a quality instrument.

Just having a look round Ibanezs website, my second guitar was an ibanez somethingorother and Ive actually lost it, I havent got rid of it, its somewhere round here but I have no idea where

I quite like the S series, theyre quite pretty as far as super strats go, not over pointy and I quite like Paul Gilberts Sig model too the PGM401

My old guitar teacher used to complain about how ibanez named guitars, all initials and numbers, he had a point to be fair to him

I don't care for the overly lengthy letter/number combo names either.
Between Ibby and Yamaha, I can't keep my SAs from my AWs. :embarrassed:

Better to just make up a name like SHREDMEISTER or something.

Yeah. If I saw it used I'd probably consider it, because those Prestige necks are terrific.
