Hot or Not? Gretsch Streamliner

I've kind of been eyeballing a Streamliner like this one for a while now. I was in GC Saturday and they had one for $100 off regular price. I'm getting bad GAS.

They are great guitars for the money. The Broad' Tron pickups are PAF-ish, so you don't really get the Gretsch jangle or twang, but they sound really good for the money. I have also found the build quality very consistent.

FWIW, like him or not, Chappers was so impressed he actually bought one and has used it for at least another demo video for something else...go to 18:embarrassed:1 or so:

 
Is that a fretboard with fret markers or a big fret marker with fret board pieces added in?

I could live with it, but I'll be honest that's the first thing that caught my eye.
 
Yeah - I sort of prefer the fingernail Gretsch fret markers, but that's not a deal-killer, and given that I just bought a Guild Starfire, I'm not really in the market at the moment. I've also heard good things about the Starliners. Is that one a semi- or full-hollow?
 
The Broadtrons are more Gretchy than the old Gretschbuckers, but less so than than the blacktop filters on the newer 54xx and Pro Jets.
My band mate had the same model briefly, a gold one w Bigsby. I was impressed & thought it sounded great. He traded it for a Pro Jet tho.
