Gary Blanchard
beloved, local musician
Not what I wanted to post, but my phone is giving me grief. I'll try posting the right video tomorrow.
Okay, this is what I wanted to share. It should start at the 39 minute mark for my two songs.
Professor Sorghum has played Freebird on ukulele before.Freebird!!
Excellent performance. I enjoyed both songs. Franklin's Tower was fun. Your lead acoustic player sounded great. As did the whole band.I have been using a thumb and finger pick for years now. For heavy strumming, however the finger pick tends to fall off. That is the new Goonis pick in the second video; it was wonderful to hold on to a pick.
As I said in the video, Franklin's Tower is my favorite Grateful Dead song; it does really need at least a lead guitar to do it justice, adding bass and percussion is fantastic. I even had one more drummer than the Grateful Dead.
I wish I could.<<<<I even had one more drummer than the Grateful Dead.>>>
Totally unfair. Just send me one to Alabama please!
