Dudes who play Strats. Part 1

Perhaps the best Strat blues player alive, the unequaled master of subtle bluesy modulation, Ronnie Fucking Earl. And yes, I know Buddy Guy is still alive; Ronnie Earl is a better player. By far.

So this attitude that a strata caster can be only a certain thing is really in my mind useless. I was just giving you a hard time. :tongue: I have seen the pics of your Strat. I do like SC's in fenders but don't care what you have in yours. I do think that Strats and Teles do sound better with singles, and use other guitars when I want humbuckers. There are Fender purists who would argue this all day though.
 
Holy, it took page 2 (on my mobile app) before Gilmour was mentioned, then page 3 before Rory, then I got to the current end on page 4...

And still no JIMI HENDRIX...

Well ok. Here you go. I worked on this song in a guitar class with @Mark Wein . It was one of the most fun and challenging things I have tried to learn. I need to go back to it. I still have the song loaded in my slow downer app on my phone to play along with.

Good call on Lowell. That got me thinking of strat players that use a slide...

Still no mention of Jeff Beck, huh? Hmmm.....

Welcome.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Jimi is low hanging fruit. Same with Gilmore. Even my Knopfler post was kind of a gimme.
