Cosmic Country

true, but he's been using that for quite a while and was the first to come to ind.

That’s a great point. I’ve known of him for a while, but he didn’t even come to mind for me. When I think cosmic, I think Gram Parsons.

I think Parson foremost, but also the Clarence White Byrds, and also Lee Hazlewood's psychedelic country like Cowboy in Sweden. I'd even argue that 'Wichita Lineman' could be considered as cosmic country.

I wouldn’t argue that Wichita Lineman isn’t, different take for sure, but yeah. On that more polished note, I think the Cactus Blossoms should be considered.

if cosmic country were Chicago hipsters, Peen Simmons neighbor and Billy Corgan's pal

and they actually have an official release that is Siamese Dream in it's entirity

I like them but don’t think they qualify as country or cosmic. They also don’t look like hipsters. They just like some dudes.

Well, I obviously have no cosmic cred. C'est la vie.

Here's Robert and Alison covering Lucinda. Not cosmic either, but enjoy it anyway.

This live performance is terrific. Marty and the Fab Supes have totally mastered the Byrds/Burritos/Cosmic Cowboy thing. Love Kenny's Ric jangle and Marty's cosmic Clarence White solo. It's effortlessly cool and the kinda band I'd love to be part of.
