Continuing Adventures in Medicaland (update).

So I am scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow and will be starting chemo this week. The doctors feel that it will be effective.

I was surprised to have a flower delivery from Carol's family. It brightened my day. View attachment 83078
Say what?!

Did I miss something?

You go in because of elevated levels and now they're talk biopsies and chemo?

btw, if they offer to knock you out for the bone biopsy, take it. Intense thudding pain like nothing before. Doc just shoved a giant needle (which they won't show you) in my hip and started excavating. Mrs F said she almost fainted.

They not only didn't offer they won't consider it. A nurse friend suggested Ativan before the procedure and the doctor ordered it.

I was given the information that they saw some lesions in a scan ot the kidney stone. I just held back until they seemed more sure of what is happening. I will say that I have been feeling good so far and am keeping a positive but realistic attitude.

@frunobulax was not kidding. It wasn't really painful but very uncomfortable. The doctors were very good and soothing and the pre-procedure Ativan helped a lot as well.

I have been very lucky in having some good people tending to me. I have had the same day nurse for three days so it doesn't feel like dealing with a stranger. I am doing my best to be a good patient.
