Live to wine
One Big Holiday was great, great, great. No finer rock band on the planet than Morning Jacket these days. Can't wait to do it again next year!
I just got notification that Joan Baez will play Tanglewood in June with The Indigo Girls and Mary Chapin Carpenter. AT $98 each for lawn seats, that isn't happening. The place is far enough away that I'd need a hotel room as well. I did see Joan back in the 90s, so I'll settle for that memory.
I wouldn't mind seeing them, and would love to see Joan (though my wife is not a fan), but I can't bring myself to drop $400-500 for a show. That reminds me of the time my wife got suckered into going to the Indigo Girls. Our neighbor called her to see if my wife was free because her husband bought her tickets for the Indigo Girls for her birthday. My wife thought she was calling to ask her to babysit so her and her husband could go so she said yes and then the neighbor said good, she would pick her up for the show at 6. The last 3 shows my wife went to were the Deftones, Social Distortion and Bad Religion. She is not an Indigo Girls type of woman

I spent, I think, $60 to see Graham Nash, but seeing Nash solo is a Bucket List thing for me.Me either. $50 is my limit and that is reserved for only certain bands.

I would only take a chance for the first few weeks of the tour; Neil will probably drop out along the way and the others will feud. I've seen CSN several times, so this doesn't call me. I also saw the Stills-Young band perhaps a few shows before Neil flaked out on it.There would be some bands I would go past the $50 but it would have to be a once in a life kinds show. I heard on the radio yesterday that there may be a CSNY tour this summer. Neil said he was game and Graham said he would bury the hatchet with Crosby for it. I would consider dropping $100 for that because it could be the last time ever to see them, but there aren't many I'd do that for.

Dinosaur Jr are coming around this spring, it's good to have an exact date this far in advance of a night I will have to be working late, because that's happened every other time they've played around here since they got back together a decade ago. I saw them a few times back in the day, from what I can tell from YouTube they're at least as good if not better then they were in their prime.
I never saw them back in the day, but have seen them twice recently and both shows were great.
I've added two shows to my calendar - Preoccupations and Explosions in the Sky. So it's going to be a post-rock kinda spring.
I'm still debating Mountain Jam and Maiden which are both kinda expensive propositions. Also, I really want to check out Solid Sound, Wilco's music and art festival.
When Graham Nash is totally pissed at David Crosby, you know things are bad. Nash has been saying that he is done with Crosby; nothing specific said, but Crosby has probably criticized Nash's divorce like he did Young's. I think I'll hold on to my memories of past shows.Well next year would be the 50th anniversary of CSN, and 2020 would be the 50th for CSNY & Deja Vu. So maybe...
Seeing CSNY perform Deja Vu in its entirety would be something really special. A great high note to go out on for the group.
I'm going to All Then Witches with @Guitar Heel at DC9 on the 7th. Come on up and hit that. Depending on the times, might be able to hit both. They are only a few blocks apart.
Whoa! That's big stoner rock Tuesday right there. Are you two meeting up there? Have a time in mind?
