Christmas dinner jam - what are you cooking, bringing and drinking?

Will be at the inlaws' up in ATL, probably the last time (they're moving to Inverness FL to be nearer M-i-L's sisters). So at most we're bringing some beer for me, and wine as presents for the inlaws. And these 2:

I'm sure there'll be plenty of wine, beer, and champagne. I don't really do wine, being a beer person. But I have developed a taste for champagne on our recent travels in Europe, we had it most every night.

I have no idea what the food will be. Probably turkey or ham, salad, mashed potatoes, the usual.

Dinner has started in earnest today.

Chocolate gingerbread truffles are done and in the fridge.

We've popped out for a couple of drinks.

Dinner roll dough is proving and the gelato is going in the Ankarsrum once we get home.

All the shopping is in. I'm picking up the ham tomorrow. I've got a spreadsheet taped to the fridge with all the timings from tonight right through to digging in on Christmas day :thu:

So we had our extended family get together over the weekend… and I brought the Hot Ones sauces. :helper:

Once everyone got to DaBomb beyond insanity, they all started to melt down. I was laughing my ass off at them.

My one niece ran outside and stuck her tongue in the snow on the grill cover. :lmbo:

Lamb would be awesome but my family in general are picky so I wouldn't risk it.

Drama with Mrs jbj and I today when our meat delivery was "pending". On the upside it was her idea to go to a weird whole seller but not really a whole seller type butcher place instead of a y know, actual butcher but it all turned out fine. Ham looks great, awesome streaky bacon and square sausage for lazy breakfasts this week.

Low key cooking day today, I made my stock for the soup. May have left it on the hob for about 8 hours by accident (couldn't work out why the pot was still warm!) but I noticed it, didn't burn the house down and it smells amazing.

Game time tomorrow doing my soup, sous vide the veg, making the stuffing etc... plus doing the ham.

I've made a big spreadsheet. On paper, providing my bread rolls turn out ok, I have very little other than popping the cauliflower cheese in the slow cooker and sticking a few things in the oven to do on the big day. :thu:
