Casino jam

I play at casinos fairly often. I’m not going to turn down the money, but if I let myself people watch too much I always end up getting bummed out.
I think of it as kind of like reading The Road, or something along those lines. More enthralling than actually "fun", and you probably don't want to do it too much or too often

You’re not wrong. I payed the deductible for my wife’s back surgery last year with casino gigs.

She was worried about scheduling the surgery because savings were already depleted due to her being out of work because of pandemic. We decided to book it and figure it out.

One of my buddies needed somebody to sit in at a casino gig. Yes please. I explained the situation and told him I’d take everyone he had available. It worked out pretty well.

also, I hear if you’ve got to casino, micro dosing is the way to go.

My wife used to work at a couple casinos. Seeing what that does to people will pretty much cure you of any desire to gamble. It can be highly addictive and I have seen friends loose their homes due to that addiction.

I’ve never been to a real casino, but I do like the virtual ones. I’m a little scared to go to a real casino. Probably because of all those movies I watched and of the risk of going insane and leaving all my money on the table.
I prefer the safer route and play at online kasinot. I don’t need to leave my house or iron a fancy shirt to start up a game and have fun. It’s also a nice way to make a little more money in addition to my meager monthly paycheck.
Maybe one day I will be brave enough to drive over to Vegas and try my hand.

I'm not good enough at making money to feel good about gambling any of it away.
I'm not interested enough in making money to feel good about winning. Winning the lottery or something would be life changing, but what an I really gonna do with an extra $250? Upgrade from the store brand spaghetti sauce for a year?

Anyway, I thought this thread was about the Epi hollow bodies.

Funny coincidence this thread popping back up as I'm in Vegas right now. Lost about $100 :embarrassed:

I worked as a transportation supervisor at a hotel/casino. I worked hard for my money. I'd be damned if I was going to give it back to them.

I hear if you wear some green n grey hoops to Rod the Prod Frauds gig he buys you a free drink  might take the edge off.

I was 2 quid up on the fruity in Sir Walter's Toby Jug before heading to The Cure earlier :embarrassed:

I saw some guy on Fremont Street with a Celtic top on but I couldn't be bothered with trying to chat to him. Fuck knows what kind of numpty you'd come across wearing a football top in Vegas :embarrassed:

I hear The Cure gigs are really good this tour.

I used to be a decent poker player at house games but playing it in the casino is shit, as you say everyone is too serious and there's no banter.

That's why I like craps, everyone is friendly and wants you to win unless you're one of those scumbags that plays the do not pass line.

Sidenote, I played well on 8 of 9 holesthete, I should get hungover every time I golf.
The problem with casino poker is there's always a couple people who don't mind losing their money so they bluff all the time and try to buy the pot every hand. It's shit.

Playing wise they were exceptional but the setlist was a boy self indulgent for my liking. Not "art Garfunkel start reading poetry you've written at the Royal Concert Hall" self indulgent but apart from the start and encore it wasn't one for the casual fan.

He was probably just trying to fit in with all the other jakes on Fremont St :embarrassed:

That's right, if you are in a casino, you need to place bets based on your budget. If you are not a millionaire, then you should not put three-digit bets. Personally, I don't really like playing at casinos in Las Vegas, although I go there every summer and I know what I'm talking about. I won much more often at an online casino that I found on Schweizer Online-Casino, and in Las Vegas I only lost. Accordingly, I think that it is simply impossible to win a large amount of money in such large casinos, due to the fact that everything is controlled there.

That's what I always tell people. Gambling is fun but it needs to be literal throw away money. And in Vegas, unless you're rich that pretty much means sticking to the slots.
