Any of you nerds at NAMM this year?

I’ve seen videos of some amazing new stuff on YouTube. Tosin’s Cordoba looks like the next big innovation. He took what Ibanez did with Tim Henson’s electro-acoustic guitar and turned it into something that will let musicians crash through some boundaries. I’m looking forward to hearing what people do with it.

First one I've missed in a while.... :(

LD Decided not to have a booth (our biggest dealer/supporter) so the other owners decided to skip it this year.

Fortunately, most of the shit I've seen released has been all the high tech stuff with touch screens and shit that I can't stand... so I'm not getting as much FOMO as I expected. We shall see as the weekend goes on. :helper:

Not I, but lots of NAMM-related stuff showing up in my feed. Makes for some cool browsing!

Collings has some nice stuff there, for example.

What's crazy is that the one thing I want is something that I don't even know if it's in development, yet, so obviously not at NAMM.

The Valeton GP-5 proved to be cool and then the GP-50 even cooler. I want a GP-500 for a flyrig type board. Even when I was running Line6 stuff for gigging I still kept it simple (different basic sounds, nothing that couldn't be done on the real amps and effects being modeled).

There's a new V3 version of the Tech21nyc RK5 Flyrig that is absolutely killer. Good enough that I'm considering buying one even though I don't need one. :helper:

I just saw a teaser vid of new Peavey preamp pedals, and it looks like there's one based on the Classic series amps, which I love. Can someone find out more for me? I can't find any info online.

Can’t find any info online yet, but it looks like it’s real…

I want the Peavey Bandit pedal from NAMM. Why pay $150 for the entire amp when I can pay $200 for a little preamp version? Those things are going to be stupid deals.

I didn't go this year. Just too much other stuff going on at the school (Mellissa Ethridge is doing a masterclass for us tomorrow being one of the many things making my hair fall out this week). I also got a sense that there wasn't much to go for anyway since most new products are released on Youtube these days and you could never really try anything at the show anyway.

My friend who also teaches at the school apparently did some playing for Gibson at the show and he posted some stuff about how rad the new Epiphone stuff is. I'll see tomorrow if he shows up to work with the guitar I saw in his pics.

Here’s a fun one from Epiphone. It’s for Fatoumata Diawara, a Malian singer/songwriter/guitarist.
