Solstice Guitars ~ Transit Custom 2020 Lucent Blue Bigsby roller trem Duncan P-Rail tele style

2020 TRANSIT VIBE by Solstice Guitars ...Lucent Blue standard vibrato model, semi-hollow swamp ash body, maple neck, Duncan P-Rail pickup w/ 3-way voice switch, Bigsby w/ Schaller roller bridge
------
The Transit model is a custom tele-style electric. Each one is custom crafted by Solstice Guitars in Flagstaff, northern Arizona. The body is a fully chambered semi-hollow design, making it very resonant and open sounding. This Bigsby vibrato model is bright and aggressive, with good versatility and a vocal tone control. The 3-way voice switch gives you all the coil options for the Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickup.

The Transit body shape features ergonomic contouring at the heel, plus a top bevel and back carve. The neck joint utilizes a precise machine-bolt system with threaded inserts embedded into the neck itself. A modern 2-way adjustable truss rod is paired with carbon fiber tone tone rods.

This guitar is punchy with aggressive twang. The neck is narrow and semi-chunky. The feel is smooth, with a nice C carve with hand-rubbed varnish. The action and playability are superb, but we can make any final adjustments based on your playing style before sending it out.

I like the look of it, but I do not need a multi sound pickup in the bridge and nothing in the neck. Maybe with 2 p-Rails, or two of anything really, it would be more appealing. As it is now seems like shrill, shriller, shrillest.

Well, that’s a boutique tele monstrosity. It’s fine, I guess. But I would have chosen a lot of different features.

That finish is a deal breaker for me. I'd look more closely at the features, many of which appeal to me, were the paint job not so ugly.

I don't mind it, but would prefer a different pickup in there. I realize that one was chosen to try and give the most variety from a single pickup config, but part of the idea of a single pickup guitar is simplicity.

There’s no one thing there that I don’t find interesting, but all put together, it’s just not doing anything for me.
