We do a full pro set up with every new Gibson guitar before we ship.

This Gibson Custom Shop's Flying V Standard's body is based on a 1958 Flying V body shape and combined with a maple top, cream binding and trapezoid fingerboard inlays this starts to morph into a '58 Flying V Les Paul Standard. The pickups are hand wound to get the pickups to closely resemble the tone of what some of our favorite 1958-1960 "PAF" guitars sound like now. By under winding Gibson's new Custom Bucker pickup to a specified spec and comparing it to other guitars with original "PAF" pickups Gibson has brought back the clarity and sweet high end that everyone has been searching for.

I’ve always liked V guitars but I don’t see them forsale in person much. Local shop had an Epip V in black and picking it up it was incredibly light. Love the gold top here. Don’t know about the switch placement though. I can see my hams hitting it often.

Well, that's nice to know.

And hell no to a gold top V.

I like it. I once had an overwhelming desire to play an Explorer until I got one. I wonder if it would be the same for a V...
