Prototype 1

Salvaged old growth Port Orford cedar body, quartersawn roasted maple neck, bog oak fretboard, cedar and bog oak headstock veneer, roasted maple and bog oak pickup covers/pickup rings/knobs, aluminum truss rod cover, bone nut.

25.5” scale length, 24 frets, 1 3/4” nut width.

Custom designed, handmade humbucking pickups. Bar magnet design.

White milk paint with Tru Oil top coat.

Mastery bridge and vibrato, Hipshot locking tuners, Jescar stainless steel frets, Callaham stainless steel strap buttons.

It looks well made but the neck/body join annoys me. If you're doing a 24 fret neck, why kill the access by joining at the 19th fret?
 
The old growth cedar, quarter sawn roasted maple neck, and a few other things makes me think that a lot of care went into the making of this instrument and it probably sounds pretty decent.

That said.... it has one of those indistinct, almost random, shapes... like it was made for a character to play on a Saturday Morning Cartoon.
 
It has an interesting mid century modern throw pillow aesthetic. But I don’t like that style of furniture, so whatever.
