I loved it.

Apparently Bradley Cooper didn't watch any of the show in advance of playing the part, because he didn't want to be influenced by the existing characterisations. It's kind amazing that his Elijah Gemstone seemed exactly like a Gemstone. I I didn't know that I'd have thought he'd studied the other characters religiously (pardon the pun).

Also, watched Flow (Oscar-winning Latvian animated feature) last weekend. It was amazing!

I don't want to give any spoilers away for anyone reading this who hasn't seen it yet, but it took a 'you have crossed a really bad line. You are not coming back from this' turn. And then the surprise!

I was genuinely shocked.
 
Adolescence is getting rave reviews over here just now. We binged it all on Friday. It is very good and every hour long episode is a legit single shot take which is cool.

It’s such a delightful series. I usually hate shows that flashbacks (the less the better) but it juggles it all very well. Lots of thoughtful risk-taking, and no real bloating. I really hope that they wrap things up before dragging it out to seven seasons and a more proverbial plane crash.

Apparently they've planned five seasons for the overall story. This season is almost over, so I'm wondering when the rescue/return to civilization will happen. Next season? My suspicion is that it'll happen in season 4, and season 5 will show what happens when they get back.

I say they get back home just in time to watch the Seinfeld series finale. The horror!
