He's a MD resident, like me. As I recall, he's in Howard Co., but not sure. Anyway, Umphrey's Mcgee invited him to jam along with them at a show here in Frederick as COVID was winding down and folks were getting out again. I'd be more than a little intimidated trading licks with Jake Cinninger. That guy's a beast.

Funny Story.... Jake is from South Bend (or at least went to Notre Dame) I was introduced to him a couple years back at one of the local guitar shops because he and I use the same luthier for stuff like refrets.

I googled him afterwards thinking Umphrey's was one of our local or regional acts.... and the first pic I find is them playing at Red Rocks.

I was like "What in the actual FUCK?.... :messedup: " :helper:
 
This one popped up for me today. A bit different from his usual, musical structure based analysis. I think Willie must've been under the weather this night. His voice sounds pretty rough.
