A list of Isbell songs that clean Swift's clock:

Outfit
Decoration Day
Goddamn Lonely Love
Danko/Manuel
TVA
Dress Blues
The Magician
In A Razor Town
Alabama Pines
Go It Alone
Codeine

And everything on Southeastern.

Really wouldn't anything he's ever done, DBT's ever done, Amanda Shires has ever done, Shonna Tucker has ever done, and any of the extended musical families of his and their bands ever done be fine. Cherry picking titles is exceedingly superfluous, wouldn't you think?

She and miss Lawrence are being force fed as the current/next greatest things ever without having proven it in any real way. That said, I don't hate her. I dislike her music, so I don't listen to it. What ticks me off is how many more vastly talented musicians get overlooked by the masses that are just waiting to be told what else to like and eating it all hook, line, and sinker.

*turns on popular radio channel, lists first 5 tracks* :embarrassed:

actually, when visiting my parents in NL last month I was driving back after bringing my GF to the airport one of the big radio stations managed to play a forest by the cure, other than that it was total garbage and I cursed myself for not bringing some cd's.

Couldn't just name any song written by Jason?

No, because I honestly feel like some of his songs are a bit weaker- especially on his first two solo albums - and Swift clearly has some accomplished writers.

Christ, even I love Sabbath, and I'm leaning towards the philosophy that metal should be illegal.

Good call on Billy Joel, though.

Well again, that's more of a historical thing than how I feel now.

I still wouldn't call myself a fan of any of those bands, but I can appreciate Sabbath and even Rush. And last night I youtubed up some War Pigs while I was playing video golf (true story!).

So I looked up the lyrics for Shake It Off, because I won't listen to it. I'll stand by any song Jason has written is better than a song with the lyrics, Cause the players gonna play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate

Why is Buffet being discussed in the thread limited to "rock". Jimmy many do something (I was going to say many things, but I can't think of what else he does) yet there should be universal agreement that he doesn't rock.
