I've got to do some soul-searching to figure out why I'm so het up about this, but if you're going to have a separate social media account for your solo music work, named "Herb Menderchunk--Music", it's obnoxious to invite all the friends of your personal account to "like" it if you're still going to post all your music stuff on your personal page. I've Liked several Music pages, so now I've got a bunch of doubles in my feed.
 
Guilty.

There are some who are on both pages, but many differences as well, which is why I double post sometimes.
 
I guess I never considered it. I get a number of duplicate posts from people and organizations and scroll past the duplicates. I appreciate knowing that it can be bothersome to others.
 
This has happened to me because I've stopped and started several ventures over the years and my Facebook especially is a mess.

I started using Social Media Search to quickly see where my images show up online, which helped me spot duplicate content from my own pages. It might help you check if the music page posts are truly unique or just repeats, easing your frustration.

Many years ago I created a separate page for my live looping called "Funk On Tap" (reference to both tapping a looper pedal and the pubs I was playing in... the logo was arranged like a beer tap). I forgot about the other account when I switched phones... but was reminded of it when I used one of my old ipads to connect to facebook and was like "Oh... hey... haha..." :helper:
 
I have 3 FB accounts.

1. Under my real name. It’s for family and actual face to face talk to in person friends. Well, except for “Jack Trax”. If I have not physically shook your hand in greeting, you’re not there.

2. Under Mike Senior. It’s my gear crap. Inventory, mod history, what I paid for it, and detailed pictures of everything. Have 5 friends all truckers from my driving days. Otherwise It’s about guitar gear, modifications, tools etc. I follow a crap ton of artists, gear builders for everything, and pages specific to playing, gear mod, and repair.

3. Political page. Has zero friends.
