HELP!!!! Low level rumbling noise from amp!!!!

el diablo

I'll take an A for $1000, Alex.
I have a SLO Mini that is driving my new Marshall MX cab, and I am getting this peculiar low rumbling almost breathing noise.
It is there wether I have anything plugged into the head or not.
I have tried all sorts of things short of rewiring the damn house.
Removed all pedals, one at a time and overall
changed all cables
changed cabs
changed outlets
added a Mosley Hum Exterminator to every possible plug

My Soldano Atomic 16 is as quiet as a mouse on the same circuit.

My last resort is likely changing the power supply to the head itself.

Thoughts?

Weird. If the SLO were a tube amp, I’d think maybe swapping out preamp tubes could help. But, that does not even sound like the type of noise I’ve heard from bad tubes.

I’m wondering if spraying Deoxit on the potentiometers could help. Seems like it may be worth a try.

It's a little over a year old with really low miles. I've got a new PigHog cab cable incoming. Hoping that fixes it.

It does sound like it could be a bad cable. But, you said you swapped cables, so I assumed you already did that trouble shooting.

Did you try a different guitar? Maybe, call your local priest and request an exorcism.
