I've seen a few pickup makers put verbiage in that warns against "mixing" one of their pickups (or, sometimes a specific model of pickup) in with pickups from other makers (or other models). I seen it with the Lace Sensor pickups, and with the Bill & Becky Lawrence L-500's. Is this marketing...
