Going for the world record pedal board

The rules don't say that it has to be on one giant board. As @CBHScott said, they just have to be strung together.

Yes, but they were all strung together.

FWIW, they are giving away some (if not all) of these.

Could you imagine trying to hook it up if it was 1 giant board? Having to flip it over to check power connections?

Then they should call it the world's most pedals strung together not "the world's largest pedal board". I could make something out a 4x8 sheet of plywood that would be way bigger.

???

I believe that you will need more than one 4x8 sheet of plywood to accommodate 319 pedals, power supplies and cables. Add to that accessibility and troubleshooting to each pedal hence the separation they did.

FWIW, I knew of someone who had a 3x5 sheet of plywood that housed all of his pedals he used with his band. It was ridiculous. As for the year that he did this, it was in the early 80's.

They don't have 319 pedals on a board. Looks like about 10.

LMFAO!!!!

On one singular board, some of them yes.

So defiant....

So it looks like Sweetwater has sent sections of the pedalboards to youtube guitarists.

Nice, I guess it pays to be a Youtuber. I'd be happy to get one single pedal....or even one of those mounting boards.

I can't be the only one who thought it would have sounded even better if they had used a multi loop patch controller... with one loop having all the boosts, one all the drives, one all the phasers and modulators, a special loop for Synths and bit crushers, one for delays, and of course the acoustic simulator on the tail end. It seemed like they were going along that path with a different guy in charge of each delay or modulation.

I just ordered something from Sweetwater and when my sales person called, he mentioned the record. It got me thinking, that we should all get together one weekend and break it. Between everyone here, we should be able to beat 319 pedals

With some planning to prevent repetition it might be possible.... and kinda sad when you think that we'd need $100,000 worth of pedals to break the record. :embarrassed:

You really wouldn't need that much. Just buy a bunch of Joyo pedals or a bunch of super cheap used pedals off reverb. I'm sure their value was using new retail prices.

True, and they were using some pretty nice/pricey new pedals at that. I'm still waiting for my piece of the board to be delivered from Sweetwater.
