I was a teenager in the 90s so I'm not going to lie about not knowing or try to bag on Oasis. Rhythmically, very little of it will be too challenging for a novice player, so it's a good pick for you to try and train your ears to distinguish strumming patterns. As @Help!I'maRock! said, you could also start by figuring out the strumming patterns of the songs they nicked. If you're still struggling, explain to your teacher that you'd like to understand not just a strumming pattern, but the underlying RHYTHM. When you can count it forward and backward, you understand it, and when you understand it you can learn the language.

I have read/seen multiple interviews with both of those two wonderful human beings. Noel seems to be a bit more mellow of the two - about a 6.5/10 on the douche scale. Liam is closer to 9/10 on the douche scale. It is putting those two in the same room that breaks the scale.....
