It was a smart investment for Metallica. Since they bought it they’ve rereleased their entire catalog on vinyl and they’re not paying exorbitant prices for pressing and dealing with delays every time Taylor Swift does another vinyl release (Taylor and Adele have both monopolized the pressing industry for months).

I have a yellow 12" "Wanted Dead or Alive" record that I just remembered I own after seeing the photo

My roommate in college had a white vinyl pressing of the Beatles White Album. This was around 1980, so not sure when it was pressed. I've never seen another.
EDIT: I just googled "white vinyl beatles white album" and the first thing that popped up was one for sale on Amazone....$599!
