Who makes good cabs for guitar •and• bass?

Sunn just announced a new mini-amp that has the Beta Lead and Beta Bass in one chassis. And they’re taking preorders at $600. I’m going to sleep on it but I’m pretty sure that I’ll buy one. But what cabinet can I get that does guitar and bass well? Sunn makes one, but it’s $1,400 for a 2x12, which is a lot more than I want to spend. Does anybody else make old-school guitar and bass cabinets? Should I ask Avatar if there’s a cabinet/speaker combination they can build that will do it?

Personally.... I would load up a good empty (maybe oversized) 2x12 cabinet like a Mesa or Mojotone with your choice of 2x12 guitar speaker and then the bottom speaker something like an Eminence Beta II that can handle 300 watts. Personally I would put separate jacks so there would be the option of one amp into both speakers or a guitar and bass both sharing the cab at the same time.

Check Reverb or FB Marketplace and you might be able to pick up a decent cab with a few scuffs for a good $$ even if you end up selling one or both of the speakers out of it.

I recommended the oversized cab because of the bass response. I have a Mesa Recto 1x12 and it has way more tight bottom end than my other cab or combos. (it's just a little bulkier when I have to gig with it)

I see it's only mini in size and weight, so much for my line about not mattering much at low wattage...

As is, I'd just get a bass cabinet for it TBH.
