Friday - met with the landscaper to finalize the plans for our front and back yards...

Saturday- worked and then hung out with the kids while Mrs W was taken on a Spa weekend by her mom and sister.

Sunday - more of the same.

Exciting, huh? What did you guys do?

Friday - Ran some errands and got an oil change... went to Michael's Crafts and spent too much on cool Halloween stuff. :embarrassed: Went out to dinner with my friends at Red Lobster for ENDLESS SHRIMP!!!!!:love: Then came home and did some reading.

Saturday - Played some Eternal Sonata on the 360, watched half of Lost Boys 2, then spent the rest of the day reading.

Sunday - Did laundry and read. I read three books this weekend and got halfway through a fourth tonite. :embarrassed: It's nice to just curl up on the couch with a beer and the cat and relax.

Friday - Gigged out.
Saturday -Soccer - with an exciting come from behind victory winning 6-5
Sunday - went to a 5k with the family - then sacked out and watched the Giants.

Friday... ate at Red Robin. Watched Smallville Season Premier.

Saturday... watched MSU stink up the place while working on the guitar I'm building for Jbird.

It's getting a flush mount Floyd, but it's a Floyd Rose pro which requires room underneath the bridge, so I needed to create a custom route beneath the fine tuners, but not under the rest of the bridge.

Then it was BW3's for the Notre Dame game. That was a blast... then hung out at a fancy-shmancy bar the rest of the night.

Sunday...

Daughter came home from college for a 1 day visit. We had food from Five Guys. :thu:

Didn't do a lot. Went to the gym, mowed the yard, did some woodworking, spent a lot of time sitting outside playing my acoustics because the weather was perfect. Visited with the neighbors a little. Nothing the least bit exciting.

Friday - quiet evening at home
Saturday - helped my sister buy a car, dinner at BW3, hung out
Sunday - monthly trip to Jungle Jim's for better produce and White Zombie, dinner at mom's, watched "Little Mermaid" with the kids.

Friday - went to se "faux" foreigner. They were actually really good. Played a bunch of the greats that really brought back the 80's for me.

Saturday - did a 5k, where Prages got his first medal - 1st place no less. Then we lazed around for the rest of the day.

Sunday - cleaned house did some trail running and I graded papers while Prages was upstairs working on some music.

Very lazy and relaxing wknd.

Friday - went out to dinner at a local Indian restaurant with 2man and his wife. It was delicious, we were all stuffed. Then went to a local bar to check out one of my favorite local bands.

Saturday - visited my grandma, went to lunch at Iron Hill Brewery which was excellent, wish I could have tried more of their beers but I was driving. Came home and watched college football.

Sunday - slept in, watched sports all day, never left the house. Ate london broil and baked potato, watched more tv and passed out.

Basically spent the weekend at my desk, working.

Also helping take care of the kids, hanging out with my wife, ordering take-out, etc.

Friday - Didn't do much really. Hung out at home and relaxed.

Saturday - Drove out to Echo Lake, about an hour west of Denver, and hiked around a little. WE were hoping to see the aspens turning, but it was probably a week or two early. I'm busy the next three weekends though so it was our only shot at seeing them this year. It was still very nice, though it was a bit windy and cold when you came out from the trees. Here are a few pics....

Echo Lake - about 10,500 feet up....

The Lovely Mrs D and myself. A crappy picture - but it was pretty windy right there.

We ate a late lunch at a brew pub in Idaho Springs, then drove back down to Denver. I practiced guitar in the evening for awhile.

Sunday - I lead the worship team at church. After church we relaxed for awhile, then got to see my beloved Raiders get thrashed by the Broncos. It sucks having the worst QB in the NFL, and knowing the owner probably won't do anything about it...

Echo is beautiful and I'd love to see the Aspen tree's turn... they go so quickly though, unlike our trees here. The sight of Aspens all fluttering in the winds simultaneously is one of the coolest things in nature that I've ever had the honor of seeing.

That looks like a great day.

Friday - Played in a golf scramble instead of working. Then went for Indian food w/ FenderPusher and his GF. Went to check out a band, but the combination of too much dinner and a boring opening act put me in a coma. Went home before the headliner started.

Saturday - sharpened all the kitchen knives, watched a bunch of college football. Read, napped, etc.

Sunday - Watched the Eagles win, then wired up some new lights for the unfinished side of the basement while listening to the Steelers game on the radio. 2 dual flourescent fixtures (the 4' long kind) replaced the old single bare bulb fixture. It's nice to be able to see down there now. Made steaks for dinner.

Friday night I went to see one of my favorite bands The Weakerthans at the Bottom Lounge.

Saturday I got a haircut, went to Home Depot and then spent the rest of the day putting in quarterround in the back porch, cleaning the storm windows in the back porch and then hanging some pictures and stuff for a bit. Watched a movie Saturday night, it was kind of boring, I don't even remember what it was called.

Yesterday got up early and hit about a dozen garage sales. I ended up spending about $120 but I scored massively, in addition to some books, pictures, dishware I got:

An Ion USB turntable which will allow me to transfer vinyl to the computer
A Milwaukee Saw Z All ($15!!)
A Ryobi cordless drill, one of the casualties from my move was that the charger for my drill got lost and suprisingly you can't just buy a charger, you have to buy a new drill

I also got 20 Lps for 2 bucks. Classic rock vinyl sells pretty well on ebay so I'll sell most of it but I got records from Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio, Priest, Aerosmith, Derek and the Dominoes, The Doors, Jeff Beck, Van Halen, Average White Band, Cheap Trick and Booker T and the MG's.

Then we went out for breakfast and watched the Bears/Seahawks game.

Eat, drink beer, run, repeat.

Sunday, 11.41 miles.

12 Sierra Nevada Pale ales.
