Weekend Wrapup DEC7

LeftyTom

I am not just another pretty face.
The last one was for Thanksgiving weekend, so……

Friday, I had rotator cup surgery, with a side of biceps tendinosis, on my dominant, hence left, shoulder. Not much pain. Follow-up appointment with surgeon on DEC16. So, I am out of work at least 8 days for the worker’s comp injury.

The weather was miserable but can't complain because we really needed the rain. Stayed indoors for the most part: played guitar, drank some good whisky.

Did get in a chilly round of golf Friday morning. Spotted the Starship Enterprise in stealth mode.

It was a long independency day weekend here, Did some Sinterklaas stuff on 5th with Dutch friends and their partners, then had a day off because of independence day on Friday, which was used for a big walk with Kiira in a local forest kinda place. Saw all of the deer, which got Kiira a bit too excited :embarrassed:

Saturday had a party in the evening, had fun, didn't stay too long.

Sunday I somehow had a massive hangover even though I stuck to a very decent amount of beers on Saturday and didn't drink anything else, but whatever. Managed to drag my ass out into the snow to take a hike along the coast with Kiira anyway.

Kitchen renovation is pretty much done as of Friday. Just a couple of trim pieces getting sprayed by the cabinet maker to go in.
Had some folks over for St Nicholas Day on Friday evening- and to show off the kitchen and tv room.

Saturday - tested positive. Lots of Benylin and sleep.
Sunday - switched to Tylenol Flu daytime - fucking magic.

Recovery mojo.

Played guitar, walked dogs…

There’s a board meeting the 12th where they’re looking to rezone the area behind my house for a housing development and some apartments. I’ve lived in paradise for 30 years. Got the letter in the mail and drove over to the town office. The assistant town manager was kind enough to show me all the plans. It’s the same person I bought my home from and there are other apartments he’s built in town that are very nice. They won’t be obnoxious and there’s no BS tolerated. Still my wooded path to the park will be gone and there will be a 12 foot tall berm between us.
