Details are sparse at this point, but here is what I know…

Some of you may be aware that Chad struggled with congenital heart disease all his life. On Saturday evening, a recent bout of flu/pnuemonia took a turn for the worse and overtaxed his heart. His passing was sudden and unexpected and family and friends are devastated.

He was a charming and graceful man with a terrific sense of humor, a talented and versatile musician with exceptional taste and a beloved father and family man.

I will miss him terribly.
 
This is horrible news. I had such a great time hanging out with Chad at barnstorm events. He was funny, kind, and so caring. Ugh.
 
This is sad news. I liked and respected Chad. I noticed he hadn't been around as often as he once had. I will miss him.
T.S.O.L. was one of the bands that got him into playing music.

That is terrible and shocking news. I was not aware of his heart issues. He was a very friendly guy and posted just recently that he got a RIck. RIP Chad, you will be missed.
 
Very sad. We tend to take life for granted, but it is often fragile.

I only knew Chad from his posts here. All I ever recall was positive.

Chad was a really nice guy and I really appreciated the short amount of time that I got to spend with him at Prages' house all those years ago.
