Titanium Made Guitar without Neck or Body

With only 60 guitars made in the 1980's, the Gittler Guitar is now coming back!
The improved Gittler guitar, made of titanium, has LED fret lights, enhanced electronics and more.

The guitar weighs only 3 pounds and it is based on a minimalist design.

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season! :)

To the future,

Just a note that the OP asked me ahead of time if this was ok to post and I said it was fine.

Well, there is certainly no red zone infringement with that one.

Would be interesting to try.

I seem to remember the original being insanely expensive..... but I'm enough of a Police fan to want to try one out. (it was originally used in the Police "Synchronicity II" video. )

Questions I have though:

a) Would you ever consider building a bridge only for traditional instruments? that tuner/tailpiece is so sleek and amazing.

b) Speaking of the bridge, is the last string break area intonatible? It doesn't appear compensated for the string guage.

and c) how easy is it to slide up and down the neck without a smooth edge on the treble side of the fingerboard to rest against your palm? Do you end up supporting/guiding the neck more by the thumb along the back spire?

I'm surprised that Stewart Copeland never did a collaboration with NWA. :helper:

Wanted to try the original way back when. So yeah, I'd love to try this too. I was also amazed by it in the Synchronicity II video.

Answers :)

A) We are really not looking to become a custom shop for retrofit works. We will, however, offer some small degree of customization on our own instruments to suit players’ unique needs.

B) The instrument, by its nature does not really need to be intoned. The bridge, however is slightly moveable within a dedicated channel to allow for minute adjustments for string diameter. It is important to note that we do not recommend heavier than 10 gauge strings on the Gittler guitar as the string bending features get lost and the string tension is less than optimal for intonation.

C) Suffice it to say “easier than you might think” but for those that want it, we are offering a custom acrylic neck guard that press-fits onto the spine and will allow you to choose your favorite neck profile. Removable and interchangeable necks...another first for the guitar world.
