Luckily we only played three sets - 8 to midnight. We started dropping all our 'dance' numbers for other songs. It is tough - but I look at it as a paid practice. Not much pay - but paid none the less. We need to tighten up before our next gig. If that one goes well it can open the door to some very good club dates.
 
looks like a busy summer for Peeker
May 26 -BoozeFest in Winnipeg
June 6-10 (11?) - tour western Canada (4 dates confirmed, waiting to hear back on 5th)
July 1 - Canada Day gig in Winnipeg
July 12-14 (or so) SpiderFest and other gigs in Ontario

after that, we'll probably wait till Sep, and do a b-day gig for me.
gotta plan something big for Nov as well, as that's MUNG's 20th anniversary.

Christ, that makes me feel old.
 
My brother has just joined a Duran Duran tribute band.

His first gig is in May or June but they're making £500 per skull (that's $800 in pretend money) :eek:

Unfortunately they're only planning on playing once a month, corp only so I probably won't pick up that much dep work for his wedding band.

I'm getting worried that I'm about to try and start another band from scratch because I'm getting sick of not playing out.

Last night was a fun house party with Tyler and Martin. Tonight is the blue beet with all star trio. Already had a drunk lady climb onstage and then fall down in the first couple songs of the night.

Not here. Also had a drunk guy try to hump the tambourine girl onstage and get thrown out of the club. One more set.
