The death metal appreciation thread part deux

Highernoon

Burninator
Because the former was way before my time and has many broken links.
Old-school, technical, progressive, death-thrash, whatever death metal - bring it on

I'll start with songs from
"Human" and "Individual Thought Patterns" are their best.

New school

Looks like I'll have homework for the weekend :)

Grave Miasma and Bolzer have recently performed in Israel, but I was tired and low on funds.
In a few hours I'm going to see Nile, although I'm not really familiar with their music (a few songs here and there).

I found out about these guys from reading about Gorguts in Wikipedia

Abed, another local favorite (disbanded over a decade ago).
Started with high energy death metal

getting more complex

Then adding a clean vocalist and releasing an EP

Some more locals

Lehavoth (recently reunited [with a new line-up] after a decade+ of inactivity)

Prey for Nothing, melodic death metal with some prog\tech thrown in

Eternal Gray (LOVE the drum work on this album)

Orphaned Land, before they got progy

ulcerate have struck me as weird mix of neurosis's melodic sensibilities with death metal beats (that's a good thing!), at least since destroyers of all.

reallllly digging the altarage, btw!

Altarage are awesome. Very reminiscent of Portal.

For one glorious second, I misread the title 'the death metal' as 'the death of metal'. It was a joyous moment.

Is it ok to post Thrash Metal in this thread?

I just found out about Distillator, a new-ish (debut album in 2014, new album this year) thrash band from the Netherlands that sounds like old school thrash.

If not, I'll take it to a more Flamencology-approved thread
