That Seedy Table In The Dark Corner Where The Reprobates Gather

OK. So I would need to buy a HTC EVO for Virgin, then choose a plan. I mainly want the ability to read email, and make some phone calls.

Headed to Ned.

EG - there is a little box that says remember me just below where you plug in the login and password, it is easy to miss on a mobile device. That might be while you have to keep logging in.

Saturn - I think 3 will be our limit.

HCEG - well I did not hate the new software, but I think about half did not like it. Our little GNG thread got very quiet. Time for a change.

PK - what kind of smart phone are you using? I think X got the same one. Pay as you go?

Is he here, and I just don't recognise his name? Also Matt, where is he at, and BB, and a few others?

We told X we are over here. I guess he has not regestered over here yet.

We got snow last night. Enough to snow blow.

So on a SmartPhone - I just want something to check email, and make very occaisional calls. If people have suggestions I would like to here them.

Good morning

x's mom just died. He's dealing with family issues. Ken is also dealing with family issues. They both know we're here. Matt and BB haven't been around much.

Morning.

Mojo to Steve and Ken :(.

Gotta get ready for work, if there actually IS some work, today.. Over the last few days, there have been a couple of rather ominous conference calls, both referring to "rumors", and "we're not downsizing", and "don't worry"...apparently, our big customer may be curtailing their orders, which is not good - fewer machines means not needing the full work force. We were told that by Monday, there would be some announcements regarding management. I generally don't worry too much about this stuff, but since I am one of their more experienced (read: more expensive) techs, I could be expendable. I am already preemptively keeping an eye open, and my previous company knows I would be willing to rejoin them when they get THEIR shit together...we'll see, but as much as I'm not gonna sweat it, I am still gonna be ready.

Until then, work as schedule, and playing guitars through my new Excelsior during the down time! :thu: DANCING-banana

maybe its my browser or soemthing. I can load the front page but none of the links to the forums work. I'm using Chrome.

I've had problems with Chrome on several sites. I won't use it. It makes one of my machines blue screen.

I've pretty much given up on HCEG. It's wonky, it looks like crap, and some of the old idiots are back. In other news, BK is to blame if my > 33 year marriage dissolves. After seeing his NGD thread on the Les Paul Junior Special P90s, I finally succumbed today, and $489 of my refereeing money later, it's out the door. I hope to be getting it some time next week.

We're starting to have to think about "end of life" issues with our cat. She's basically a dumpster-kitty we found on our patio two years ago, and she's really sort of gross (she is ancient, is in kidney failure, has matted fur, often smells bad, etc.) However, she IS a sweet little thing and we just don't know when it's time. She still enjoys sitting on our laps and getting petted, but has to stay outdoors much of the time because of her poor hygiene and the fact that in the middle of the night she starts yowling for no apparent reason. I wish there was some guidance on "kitty quality of life". We don't want to have her put to sleep if she's still loving life, but we also don't want her to suffer needlessly. This is a decision we haven't had to make before, and it's a lot harder than I figured it would be.
