This is as much about how you learn and grow on the instrument as it is about performance anxiety since in my experience, musical anxiety in both lessons and "on stage" is often rooted in a musician's insecurities regarding their command of the instrument or the music that they are trying to play.

 
I'm using this video for an assignment in a couple of my conservatory classes this week and the answers to the questions I have for them are pretty good. It's definitely helping me get some of the younger students to rethink how they prepare music for lessons and performances. This isn't always something that high school kids get with their private lessons.
