But yeah, like just about everything, people always have to take things to the limit and make what was once great boring and cliche'.....blooze guitar anyone....it's getting to the point with that, that I can't stand it anymore. That said, there are still a ton of great players in the genre that amaze me regardless.

different strokes for different folks of course but I find it trashy, played out and VERY cliche. It is also not aesthetically pleasing to my eye from a variety of standpoints (in the most basic it's too much , too many tats and therefore "busy" and distracting. Then most of these are usually just one leg or one arm completely covered and it's not symmetrical :embarrassed:). The woman body is beautiful and can't be improved by some jackass with a needle gun full of ink....my .02$ of course.

The only tattoo pic in this thread that I don't find attractive is the woman with the spiderweb eye tattoos.....that's just wtf??

Amen my brother..Though I don't mind something tiny and hidden like a butterfly by her pussy or a bumble bee on her boob, I generally also think a woman's body is beautiful and can't be improved upon with ink...

Yeah, I mean one or two discreet one...fine but the whole "wall of tattoo" is just horrible imho of course.

There is actually a discussion regarding this thread in the moderator lounge. It's not that the thread is crossing a particular line or causing any issues as of yet but it's about if is is consistent with the general tone and character of the forum as we've conducted it for the last nine years.

I don't have any tattoos and neither does my wife. That said, I can never quite understand dudes who straddle the aesthetic fence and get put off by women with tons of ink while also trying to posit their khaki-pants, dolgwalking selves as iconoclasts/rebels/rugged individualists--usually by way of their vocal appr of middlebrow culture products like prestige rock music, semi-craft beer, and rich old people lifestyle brands like Apple, Gibson, Harley-Davidson, etc.

I don't understand this worldview. Please explain.

...whoa...wait a sec ther brah....you got some contradictions in your stereotypes there. You mention the Harley dudes....those guys be it real harley guys or Investment bankers all love the tats...the really "wall of color tats" because it's ingrained in the HD 101 handbook of identity code...they have no choice. Then you mention khaki individualists...well thats another contradicting stereotype comparison example you have with the tat women because "individualist" elicits a free thinking individual who is doing their own thing. The wall of color tats has been a trend for a while now (look at Discovery channel with shows like "Ink" , etc) ...trendy does not equate to "individualism"
So I'm failing to see why you would have a hard time understanding your stated examples?
 
Alright guys.....some of us like tats and some don't. Let's just leave it at that.
I intended this thread as a spinoff of the Berlin thread, hoping we could lighten the mood at the end of the thread. Now this one is starting to turn ugly for really, no reason. We are all individuals with different tastes in life, be it guitars or women. And while everyone's opinion is a valid as the next, can we please refrain from debating over this and just get back to enjoying the beautiful women.
If there is a pic that you don't particularly like, that's fine! Just scroll past...or post a pic of a woman you do find attractive!
Mark already said that the mods are talking about shutting this thread down...don't make their decision definitive by not being able to get along and enjoy the fact that Mark and the mods here are VERY lenient. They let us talk about things that most other forums would not....
Lets please show our appreciation by not letting this thread go further down the drain, guys.
