I'll take an A for $1000, Alex.
So I visited the only geetar store in these parts for the first time today, just to say howdy. It's a family owned (3rd generation now) store, and has a pretty nice selection of geetars etc (all yer major brands and a few odd ones). The sales manager gives me the rundown of what's where and asks if I am looking for anything in particular. I really wasn't but offered up that I am off and on interested in a parlour style geetar. He points out a few of the choices and says if you see anything you like "play away". I wander a bit thru the new geetars and pluck halfheartedly on a few before going back to the front. Then I notice a smallish room that has a mishmash of stuff in it. The USED room! I go in and its got a weird selection of acoustic beaters, a Schecter 7 string, some basses and a few pointy geetars. Then i SEE IT!

2005ish Guild GAD 30R antique sunburst ( actually more subtle in real life) OM size with solid sitka spruce top over solid rosewood back and sides. Maple binding with BWB purfling, herringbone-type center stripe in the back. Lower bout is 15 1/4", Upper bout is 11 1/4, 9 1/2 at the waist.
Body depth is 4 1/8 at the end pin and 3 1/4 sat the neck join. 1 3/4 bone nut and bone saddle with 2 3/8 string spacing. Grover open back tuners, Ebony fret board with mother of pearl inlays, ebony bridge. Crazy nice case. $400 incl tax.. DONE! It was the store owner's geetar who is a collector and trader so I hit the motherload.
The sound? Very chimey when fingerpicked, and nice balance when picked. Def not an "unplugged" geetar..I won't be bashing out any Hootie and the Blowfish on this. I spent about two hours comparing this to every geetar that met my demanding criteria, and came back to this one every time. Merry Christmas to me!

Oooh! VERY nice! I I used to have a Guild GAD 125-12, 12-string, and it was a great guitar. The GADs are well made guitars. Congrats, and enjoy!
