If I remember I've seen her mention having people like Claus Hessler and Jost Nickel as teachers/mentors when she was a young girl, which does somewhat explain the Copeland thing, as well as her operating mainly in the fusion landscape. Germany is home to some of the most ridiculous drummers out there, not just those two mentioned in addition to Anika but guys like Benny Greb and Marco Minnemann as well.
This is probably one of my fave songs of hers. Moving so effortlessly between time signatures, feels and tempos. And she's incredible at those quintuplets (and that's really hard btw).
She's more than good enough to pull off that gig imo. And I imagine that tour will be a lot more sensible/professional than the Beck/Depp tour she did before Jeff passed away.

I don't ever have a problem with bands moving on from the death of a bandmate like some people do. Musicians want to play and to restrict that because "the band isn't the same" seems wrong to me. I would welcome the chance to see Alex and Geddy play again though unless more shows are added (and I'm guessing given their age that's unlikely) I won't be within a couple of thousand miles of any concert so looks like I'll miss this concert. I expect tickets to be ridiculously difficult to get and probably ridiculously priced too
