My dad took me to see him in 1976, with a new funk band opening, The Brothers Johnson.

Looks like we have two RIP Quincy Jones threads. I heard it on the radio on the way in this morning. His influence on the music world was huge. He was the producer of Michael Jackon's Thriller, which set the bar for the 80s sound.



But my first exposure to Quincy Jones was this gem, which still holds up after all these years.



RIP Quincy, you are a legend.
