Too Controversial To Have An Athleisure Line
I need a recommendation for a good, affordable, VSTi piano/electricpiano/organ. Komplete has a nice C3 and some cool synths, but the piano stuff kinda sucks.
What say?

Thanks!

I snagged the Elements pack when it was on sale a few months ago. Maybe I need to go back through it. The ones I checked out were really wimpy.

That might explain it. The full version has about 10 pianos to choose from, including the Alicia Keys sample set.

I wonder if I can upgrade without too much hassle.

That depends on what you want to spend. They now have a version that ships on it's own separate hard drive, so you don't have to install ANY of it yourself. I'm looking at about 4 hours of install time when I finally get my new Mac. :annoyed:

Ivory is WAY better than everything else.

Yes. It's also very pricey for non-dedicated composers and/or pianists. My dad was an early Ivory user and his computer could barely play the thing at the time, but with computing power now and their updated versions it's .

For piano I use Reason Pianos. You need Reason to load the samples. Not really a fan of many of the presets, but the base Steinway D model sounds good, and the different micing options are cool.
For Electric Piano I use Lounge Lizard EP. It's a VSTi (and has an interface if you want to run it stand alone). Some good presets (there's a bunch of stuff to make it sound like something other than Rhodes/Wurlitzer but that's not what I'm reaching for when I load up the plugin), useful stretch tuning and stereo chorus options.
For Organ I use B4. Sadly, Native Instruments seems to have stopped support for this product.

I miss B4 big time!
