What do you consider some perfect albums....they may not have to been commercially successful or they could have been huge for the artist. I'm looking for albums that you think are perfect from beginning to end... great song writing, performances, etc. It's all good... just list your "perfect" albums. Here are some of mine(in no particular order):
Keep in mind that I'm a child of the 80's/90's:
1. GNR - Appetite for Destruction - their best work to date. Raw punk influenced rock.
2. Steve Vai - Passion and Warfare - my first introduction to the world of instrumental guitar rock. It still blows me away
3. Jellyfish - Bellybutton - probably my favorite debut album from any band... ever.
4. Robbie Williams - Life Though a Lens - wasn't as successful in the US, but this album is pure pop perfection. "Angels" is still one of my favorite songs
5. Queen - Classic Queen - technically a greatest hits cd, but I can't think of one bad song. Amazing stuff on this album
6. Extreme - Pornographetti - Nuno kills it... the entire cd...
Honorable mentions:
Metallica - The Black Album - amazing production, great rock/metal tunes... excellent use of wah(not).
Anthony Warlow - The Best of Act One - ok... it's another greatest hits cd, but it's still an amazing cd from my favorite vocalist ever... he's an Australian Broadway/Opera singer.... so amazing
how about you?
