I have a purple sparkle Peavey Rockmaster set up for slide. I got it for $22 from Target a few years ago. I swapped the ceramic pickup magnet to alnico 5. There's only one humbucker. It's perfect for slide. It's unplayable for anything else.

But SG's are great for slide guitars.

I have a First Act that's a great slide guitar, kinda meh for anything else...definitely a one-trick pony.

But it does that one trick VERY well.
