Finally got this partscaster together. Fast Eddie inspired strat
I had to have someone work on the electronics ( ended up having a bad cap ).
Mighty Mite neck.
Generic body finished with Danish oil
DiMarzio SDS-1 Neck pickup.
Generic middle
DiMarzio X2N bridge I bought from @PunkKitty .
Wilkinson 2 point bridge.

I had to shim the neck,or it would be unplayable.
Overall it's a fun '80s metal beater.

Offending neck pocket.

*Update*
I got some plastic shims from Dr Evil.I had to use 2 to get it close.They need to be trimmed better,but I'll wait on that.

The cheap body was not worth it.
It's like they measured a strat neck pocket.

I am going to live with it for awhile.
I don't want to spend $35 for 2 shims.
This is just a beater.

3 different sizes for $20.
I'll try them.

I was going to suggest this. Search Amazon for better prices. I admit that I find stuff I want to use at StM then find it elsewhere or make it myself.

It took me awhile to get this together.
It is definitely the pickup I need in this guitar.

How did you wire it in the end? I think you said you don't like 2 and 4 on strats, right?

Yep went with just a 3 way switch.
I am playing a lot of Priest, Motorhead, Maiden on this one. It works great for that stuff

I have to rethink the 2 and 4 position.
I have something on the way next week,but that will be another thread.
