Despite being a fan of the music since the early 70s I just havn't been able to muster taking in a GD reincarnation since Jerry died.
The thought just makes me feel lame and sad. Like going to see the Everly Brother.
Im sure its good and the show and fans still carry the vibe, but for me Im w Chicken Man.
I would rather just see a good tribute, even though from what Ive seen & heard Mayer does an admirable job with the music and so does Chimenti and Otel.
I'd go see Bobby and the Wolf Bros just to watch Don Was cause thats my current musical outlet, playing Hunter/Garcia tunes on upright.
