NGD - Epiphone ES-175

wagdog

Ack
Made it home in one piece. I've been wanting an axe like this for quite a while. This thing is sweet! Came set up with flatwound 11s and the action WAY too low; it was fretting out on several strings above the 12th fret. I tweaked the truss rod and raised the bridge. It's still low, but no fretting out. I think I need to turn the low E side of the bridge screw in. It also needs the frets cleaned and shined as it doesn't appear to have been played much - I'll do that next string change. It's in perfect condition. Came with a case too.

Anyway, pics!

Wow! The finish is damn near flawless.
Tons of life left on the frets too.
What pickups? Any idea?
Hngd!!

It really looks nice in person. I'm psyched.

Yeah, if anything the upper frets have never been played. I'm tempted to clean/shine the frets now, but the strings are brand new and I really like 'em - don't want to take 'em off yet. The fingerboard is dry as well, needs some lemon oil.

No idea what pickups are in it, but they sound damn good. I had an Epiphone a while back that I sold and since forgotten the details of (dot royale maybe? it black and had a sparkly binding). Anyway, the pickups in the thing sucked badly. These ones don't, they're very clear. Lots of bass response and that thick hollow body sound, but the highs are also present and nicely rounded. No desire to swap pickups, so whatever's in there is good to go.
