Well, today was the day.

After many trials and tribulations, false starts and poor decisions I now own a Gibson Les Paul

2012 Standard, Trans Black, the top is stunning, I told myself ages ago I wouldn't get another black guitar but this lady blew me away.

More detail later

for now, if you have something bad to say about Les Pauls, Gibson, the Fretboard material, the weight relieving, it being left handed or anything else you can think of please feel free to totally keep it to yourself :thu:

wow..I usually don't dig trans black guitars but that is stunning! HNGD!!!

Same here, This one was definite love at first sight though.

it was meant to be a lightburst, I'd been exchanging emails with Dawsons, a music store near where I work, for a while trying to get a lefty in, got one today which said

"We've got a lightburst in today if you want to come and take a look we'll keep it off the shop floor"

so I went round, we opened up the box (complete with "Lightburst" on all the barcode stickers and what not) and opened this

photos taken with an iPad btw, I usually use my phone but the camera on the tablet totally kicks its ass.

HNGD! That top is a stunner!

:( I was going to say nice things.

EDIT-
You're thinking of TGP. Here, people only talk smack about tenons and volume knob placement.

the tenon on the LP Standard is the same as on the Historics. and volume knob placement is related to strats and their derivatives (that's also Paulski, not me).

to the OP: as for your "HIAR Disclaimer", in case you haven't noticed, i don't post in NGD threads when i don't like the guitar. and i wouldn't have posted in this one had i not been called out on.

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. I didn't even realize I was talking about you or specifically LPs.
