NAD Roland JC22

Just arrived. Like a JC120 only 1/4 the size. 30w. Stereo. I debated getting the JC40 but odds are I won’t be gigging this. For home use only. I have a multitude of stereo pedals like my Strymon Lex and my Line6 DL4MKII. Loop can go series or parallel. Speakers are only 6 1/2 inches but have large magnets.

i've never toyed with the smaller versions, but have played thru some JC-120's, and they're some of the best sounding 'clean' sounds you can get. :thu:

More than I expected. They sound bigger than 6 1/2 “. It would be cool if they had speaker outs. Not only for bigger speakers but for wide stereo separation.

Bro in law bought the two cabs and a Fender 140 head in high school. Without a doubt, it was the worst Fender amp I've ever heard. Some would say fortunately, the Fender 140 let out the magic smoke. I got him the Peavey seen here. It eventually bit the dust too. Found a Fender M-80 Chorus 2x12 combo and put that into the head shell. As far as I know, it's still going.

So yeah, it is pretty cool if you separate the speakers some.

I suppose I could make speaker output. Two 1X12” would sound good separated.
I remember the Fender M80 Chorus 2X12”. Great amp.

I picked up a similar small amp a while back because I just couldn't deal with lugging around something bigger for the occasional jam at my buddy's place. It's like having a mini powerhouse right in your living room, isn't it?

Those 6 1/2 inch speakers might not look like much, but if they're anything like mine, they probably surprise you with the sound they kick out. You mentioning those stereo pedals has me thinking of upgrading my own setup. By the way, if you're ever stuck or just hungry for more gear info, FAQ Audio has been a solid help for me. Simple tips, no jargon, just what you need to know.
