Got my X100 on Saturday and my TRS Split/Tap yesterday. Still haven't fired it up but plan to soon. I will need get a TRS Cable for the Stereo out section and build a short cable for the CTRL to Tap function. I am intrigued with some of the creations other have done by creating 4 trigger for the CTRL input to move the mode automatically but for now, will just use the system as is as I primarily wanted the chorus function of the X100 for live applications.

Nice! Looking forward to your review of the Rockman.

What exactly is the Tap port on the TRS Split+Tap? The Left and Right I get. Is it just he stereo pass-thru for when you don't want to split L/R?

The TRS Split + Tap is to beast in one.

The TRS Split takes the stereo signal out of any unit and splits them to Left and Right Channels. The X100 has the ability to either go stereo or mono pending the internal dip switch.

The Tap connects to the CTRL port on the X100 and allows you to scroll throw the different options. One of the guys on the Rockman forum has come up with a 4 switch controller so that electronically will allow you to choose either CLN1, CLN2, Edge or Distortion.

As for the sound, it is the Rockman sound in now a pedal form.

So @Modern Saint .... how do you like the Sholtz now that you've had some time to play it?
Love it!!!

It's a Rockman in a box and with the TRS Tap, I get stereo out. The pedal itself has a switch that allows you to go mono or stereo but you have to remove the cover. Only draw back is the using the TRS you have to switch through x amount of times to tap through the channels. There was one dude on the Rockman channel was working on a digital switch to be able to tap through each proper change preprogrammed.

The clean is fantastic and combined with the chorus gives that sound similar to a Roland Jazz Chorus. I have always loved the Rockman Chorus. I guess the only drawback is that it is a one shot chorus as you cannot adjust parameters. However most people who use chorus set it and forget it.
