MLB Hall-of-Fame class of 2025

Growing up Philadelphia I loved Dick (Ritchie) Allen as a kid. His nickname back then was Crash Allen. When he hit that ball....CRASH! It was thunderous. Unfortunately Allen passed away a few years ago. Congratulations to his family.

Dave Parker was a member of the 1989 World Series Champion Oakland A's with Rickey Henderson and the Bash Brothers, Jose Canseco and Mark Maguire. That was known as the the Bay Bridge Series. They swept the S F. Giants in 4 games.

Oh yeah, one of the games was postponed due to an in-game 6.9 earthquake that killed 67 people. I was on a bike ride at the time and rushing home to catch the rest of it. I caught the carnage instead.

Speaking of Rickey Henderson... RIP, 65 years old. Way too young.

I was working for the DoD in Sunnyvale at that time and had just gotten home and turned on the game when it hit.
