Mike Campbell teaches American Girl #solo

Kind of funny. We had a seminar about playing Worship guitar with a touring pro and one of his tips was - don't play the 3rd when you can avoid it. It makes the mix too dense. Same thing Mike said, just different reason.

Total side note, but something I admire about Campbell is that he experimented with quite a few different kinds of string instruments and styles over his career with the Heartbreakers — electric and acoustic guitars, resonators, slide guitars, mandolin, ukulele, koto, etc. — but he always sounded like himself; great tone, smart, tasty and tasteful, etc.

Really cool. I feel vindicated to see he fingerpicks the fast bit, because that's exactly how I play it. I can't pick it quickly enough with just a flat pick.
