London/Chelsea guitar rental?

Knox in Box

Rustbelt refugee.
I will be in London staying in Chelsea close to a Club called the 606 Club (or something along those lines) from the 20th-25th of April. Does anyone know of a place I could rent an acoustic guitar from around there for a couple of nights? The buddy I'm meeting is an old jam Partner, but also just visiting UK. There's a place down on the other side of Tower Bridge, but I have no concept of the distance by just looking at a map.

I know this is a long shot, but thanks in advance.

Chelsea to Tower Bridge is a long way.

Denmark St, near Tottenham Court Rd Tube, has (maybe had?) quite a few music stores.

Can you both go to a guitar store and hang out playing in the acoustic room? I realize that they may eventually kick you guys out, but it's better than nothing if you can't find suitable rentals.

Decades ago, I worked electronics retail. Next door was a Musician's Friend store (back when those existed). My friend and I used to jam in their acoustic room a lot. They did not seem to mind.

You can ask your phone, "Find music stores near me," when you get there.

According to Mapquest, Kensington Chimes Music, 9 Harrington Road, London, England SW7 3ES, GB, is close to the 606 Jazz Club at 90 Lots Road, London, England SW10 0QD, GB.

(Edit) Never mind. It's the wrong type of music store. Violin rentals won't work. But, you should be able to use Mapquest.com to find out how far music stores are away from 606. Or, it might be worth calling them to ask about guitar rentals. Perhaps, they could recommend a shop.

Website doesn't mention rentals (hires in the UK), but can't hurt to ask.

I did find one near us. 28£ +vat per 24hr period. I'd be better off paying for excess baggage and have my own. Thanks for the help though.

Yep, that's who I texted. They have some Takamine acoustics they rent. So now we know.

Rather than rent, have a look at Cash Convertors. Pawn shop basically and got quite a few stores in London. You and your mate could buy a couple of acoustics and then sell them back when you're done.
