For any of you who don't know what the Lydian mode is, there's tons of info on the internet and some of it is even right. ..in essence it's the 4th mode of the Major scale, and as this is in E Lydian, you want to play the notes of the B Major scale, which has the same notes as E Lydian over the jam track to get the distinct Lydian tonality...but bear in mind that your root note is E..NOT B...if you emphasise the E, G# and A# notes over the track you'll get a good idea of what the Lydian mode sounds like...sounds kind of dreamy to me..
