Oh, these are MIK guitars. These prices seem high compared to what other brands sell MIK guitars for. $1600 for a spalted LP copy is about four times what balsa wood and spit charges.

Nah. I've played a few as one of my friends was an artist of theirs for a bit and had two of their baritones. I really wanted to like them, because the design aesthetic is neat and the price is right, but it just didn't feel very good and was sonically dead. Swapped out the pups a few times, but it never really did the trick. It's been sitting in the corner of his studio for years now.

I get the feeling there will be a lot of these types of guitars in the GC used section for cheap in the coming years.
