I started attending a jam at a local watering hole that is frequented buy some old musician friends for 40-50 yrs ago that Id lost touch with.
Ive really enjoyed that part but half the time it's kinda a clusterfk with too many electric guitarists and county acoustic strummers all trying to play at once. But then some Sundays it's not as bad and actually pretty tight and fun but half the songs Ive never heard or at least never played before. But theres always some familiar ones that work well with the upright. But It's a pain in the butt to swap out bass duties with the reg bass player, esp if I want to play the upright. I don't really wanna play his rig, but getting the doghouse on and off the stage and plugging in his amp and getting a decent sound quickly is a logistical pain.
So Ive come up with this rig. The reg bass player can give me a turn from time to time, and at least the nylon guitar is a different texture and I might can take a solo on a country tune from time to time if given the chance. Im hoping if I get there at the start I can claim enough space for me and this rig.
